Meet Gary, Founder of Terrier Financial Group

Gary is committed to building long-term relationships rooted in trust, faith, and personalized financial guidance. His approach helps clients make thoughtful decisions that align with both their financial goals and their personal values.

I started Terrier Financial Group with a simple goal: to provide financial guidance that is personal, values-driven, and built around long-term relationships.

For me, financial planning is not just about numbers. It is about understanding people, their priorities, and the responsibility that comes with helping them plan for the future.

I bring close to a decade of experience in financial planning, and I believe strongly in building long-term client relationships rooted in trust, service, and attention to detail. My approach is centered on understanding each client’s unique situation and walking alongside them as their goals and priorities evolve over time.

That commitment to personalized, values-driven planning is what led me to found Terrier Financial Group. I wanted to create a firm where clients receive thoughtful, unbiased guidance and where every financial plan is tailored to the individual, not built from a template.

I graduated from Wofford College in 2010 with a degree in finance and accounting, and today I live in Fort Mill, South Carolina with my wife, Stephanie, our five children, Noah, Luke, Levi, Jude, and Eden, and our two Boston terriers, Hank and Dudley. Faith and family are at the center of our lives, and we are very involved in our local church, LifePointe, where we enjoy serving and building lasting relationships within our community.

Financial Planning Guided by Faith and Stewardship

As an active member of Kingdom Advisors, I take a values-based approach to financial planning that integrates faith with sound financial principles. For me, financial planning is about being a thoughtful steward of what we have been entrusted with and helping others align their financial decisions with what matters most to them.

This perspective shapes the way I approach every client relationship, focusing not only on financial goals, but also on purpose, generosity, and long-term responsibility.

Life Beyond the Office

Outside of work, I stay active through CrossFit, snowboarding, and mountain biking. These activities reflect the same mindset I bring to my role as an advisor: staying disciplined, focused, and committed to long-term growth.

Whether I am working with clients, spending time with my family, or serving in our community, I strive to bring integrity, consistency, and purpose into everything I do.
